APL Education, Innovation, and Impact Grants
The APL Trust US is excited to launch a new program of grants for projects that advance the use and understanding of the APL programming language.
How It Works
We welcome proposals from both experienced APL practitioners and from domain experts with a clear plan to learn and apply APL in their projects. In this inaugural cycle, priority will be given to projects that show feasibility and strong alignment with our mission.

Await Feedback
Provide Additional Clarification
Our review team carefully evaluates each application for clarity, innovation, and alignment with our mission. Some applicants may be invited to discuss their ideas further so we can better understand their project’s potential.
Receive Support
Funding and Guidance
Selected projects will receive funding and ongoing support from the APL Trust. Beyond financial help, we aim to connect you with resources and expertise that can strengthen your project and extend its reach.

Notification of Decision: All applicants will be notified by on or before January 31, 2026.

What We Fund
APL’s expressive power makes it especially valuable for mathematically intensive problems, but applications extend across many domains—including artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, medicine, finance, supply chain, aviation, engineering, and education.
The APL Trust supports projects that demonstrate the value of APL in research, education, and applied problem-solving. Examples include:
Research Applications
Using APL to explore new ideas in mathematics, science, or engineering.
Educational Resources
Developing teaching materials, online courses, or workshops that introduce APL to new audiences.
Open-source Tools
Creating or extending APL libraries, frameworks, or utilities that benefit the wider community.
Applied Projects
Real-world applications that show how APL can provide practical solutions in fields such as finance, data science, or modeling.
